Welcome to Gawsworth

Gawsworth is a charming parish on the eastern edge of the Cheshire Plain, with a population of 1,705. The village has one of Cheshire’s most beautiful historic manor houses – Gawsworth Old Hall. Gawsworth has a range of community amenities, including two churches, two pubs, scout hall, village hall, park, two woodlands and a community shop.

Gawsworth Gazette

The Gawsworth Gazette was launched in September 2018 as a new monthly newsletter from Gawsworth Parish Council and the Community Shop. It combines local news, information from the Parish Council and Community Shop and details of events taking place in the community.

The Gazette is available to collect from the Village Hall, local pubs, the community shop and at the noticeboards at Penningtons Lane and the Pleasance.
