Report published on Peak Cluster Environmental Impacts

Gawsworth Parish Council has prepared a report on the environmental impacts of the Peak Cluster proposals as they relate to Gawsworth.

The report, compiled by Cllr Paul Woods, builds on the official objection which the Parish Council submitted during the first consultation window and is designed to be a listing of environmental, ecology and heritage concerns which have been brought to our attention.

The report was discussed by the council in July, where it was agreed to publish it and promulgate to relevant bodies, including Cheshire Wildlife Trust, CPRE and Cheshire East Council. The report has also been sent to Peak Cluster Limited.

Cllr Paul Woods said “the Parish Council feels it is important that the special nature and extent of the impact on Gawsworth is made clear so that our specific concerns are properly evaluated, not overlooked and given due emphasis.”

“By the sheer weight of issues, as well as the importance of several individual points, it contributes to the argument that alternative routes which avoid Gawsworth Parish must be compared and considered.”
